Elite Analytics and Advanced Camera Technology to Transform PFL’s 2026 A-Grade Season Tue, March 24, 2026 - 3:59 PM

Perth Football League’s A-Grade Men’s and A-Grade Women’s competitions are set for a major upgrade, with remote camera technology and Premier Data’s advanced analytics delivering in-depth player stats and professional-level analysis.

The landmark initiative is set to roll out in Round 1 of the upcoming season, covering the A-Grade Men’s season and selected Women’s matches.

The system will not only deliver expert, play-by-play statistical breakdowns, but also enable matches to be live-streamed directly via the Local Footy Hub platform.

GameFace’s advanced remote cameras are designed specifically for live sports, automatically tracking the flow of play to capture all angles of the contest.

Footage from games will be sent directly to Premier Data for a comprehensive analysis of the match, enabling teams to track every key metric, including disposals, tackles, marks, clearances and contested possessions.

Premier Data CEO, Steve Cochrane explains "We are incredibly excited to partner with the Perth Football League for the 2026 season. The PFL is one of the leading community competitions in Australia, and this partnership allows us to bring a new level of visibility, data, and professionalism to the league.

Our goal at Premier Data — to give every club, player, and supporter access to elite-level insights and content, while also creating new commercial opportunities across the competition. This is another important step in our mission of taking sport ‘From Local to Elite’”

Premier Data also provides more advanced team performance metrics, including inside 50 conversions, pressure acts, turnover-generated goals, and disposal and scoring efficiency.

The analysis made available through Premier Data will undoubtedly elevate the A-Grade competition, equipping coaches and players to see the game in ways they might have missed

Remotely operated through Game Face, the cameras will live-stream every match, giving fans access to all the action of the highly anticipated A-Grade season, wherever they are.

However, this isn’t the PFL’s first time gaining Premier Data stats. During last year’s grand finals series, the PFL trialled the partnership with strong success, giving the PFL and the clubs confidence in a full rollout for 2026.

The collaboration between the PFL, Premier Data and GameFace sets a new benchmark of delivering a more informed, connected and professional competition for players, coaches and supporters alike.

PFL’s Head of Commercial, Marketing and Media adds “This collaboration will add another layer to our A Grade Competitions, further cementing the PFL as the premier community football league. Being able to broadcast matches with new technology allows flexibility to cover more matches, and in future seasons cover more of our grades.”

As the PFL continues to evolve, the integration of advanced analytics and enhanced broadcast quality represents a significant advancement for Perth’s local football.

With Round 1 right around the corner, keep an eye out for the camera’s setup around the venues, showcasing the elite level of the A-grade competitions.
