The Wembley Football Club (WFC) is seeking expressions of interest for the Head Coach position for season 2023.

WFC entered the amateur league in 1927, making our club one of the oldest in the competition and the second most successful amateur club with 53 premierships. The club has great facilities, supporter base and sponsors.

The club is one of the few fully integrated clubs, expecting to field the following teams in season 2023 : 4 men teams (B League, B Reserves, Thirds, Fourths),  Drew Banfield Colts, A Women and Integrated.

The Colts and B Reserve finished strongly in the 2022 season, setting a solid base for the coming B League men’s 2023 season.

The Senior Coach key attributes

  • Strong coaching experience and football knowledge. Playing coach will also be considered.
  • Capacity to assist in player recruitment, retention, and skills development
  • Provide a game plan and positive environment in which to foster and enhance player skills and team play.
  • Work with existing club coaching mentors that have AFL and WAFL experience that will provide support as required.
  • Implement a strong pre-season and in-season training plan.
  • Have strong communication skills with ability to relate to players, supporters, club committee and sponsors.
  • An “All in” attitude that will extend across the Club, enhancing an already strong club culture.
