Long-time West Coast Amateur Football Club member Dale Rakich will play his 400th game this Saturday 11 August at City Beach Oval.
‘Rakka’ as he is known around the club started his playing career for West Coast in the colts where he went on to represent the WAAFL in the State Colts program.
In 1999 he won a Best and Fairest Award before joining the committee from 2000 - 2005 holding roles such as secretary and treasurer as well as being president from 2003 - 2005.
Dale was also the captain of his side from 2001-2004.
Dale has won three premierships, the first in C Grade in 2006, B Grade in 2007 and most recently in E2 in 2017.
When reflecting on his playing career Dale said, “One of my biggest highlights was the 2006 Premiership, we were not expected to win, and it was the first league premiership for the club in 12 years”.
Dale was named as the Vice-Captain in the 2004-2014 West Coast Amateur Football Club team of the decade.
Dale is a Life Member of the West Coast Amateur Football Club with the Best and Fairest Award named the Dale Rakich Best and Fairest.
