The 2019 Skill Hire Finals Series begins this Saturday 24 August for Men’s Grades B and below.
47 clubs have made their way into finals so far with Curtin Uni Wesley (B, BR, D1R, DBC, WA) and Swan Athletic (B, BR, E1, DBC, BJC) and leading the way with five teams into finals already while ten clubs Bassendean, Bullcreek Leeming, Collegians, Coolbinia, Fremantle CBC, North Beach, Kwinana, Piara Waters, University and West Coast all had four teams qualify.
Teams that finished on top of the ladder at the end of round eighteen will have a week’s break before beginning their finals campaigns next weekend.
The minor premiers in our league grades were Curtin Uni Wesley (B), Bassendean (C1), Canning Vale (C2), Jandakot (C3), Cobras (C4), Fremantle CBC (D1), Coolbellup (E1), Forrestfield (E2), Carlisle (E3), University (WA), Warnbro Swans (WB), Piara Waters (WC) and Coolbinia (Integrated).
In the colt’s grades, our minor premiers were Whitford (DBC), Forrestdale (IDC), Dianella Morley (LKC) and Fremantle CBC (BJC).
Out of our minor premiers five teams remained undefeated throughout the home and away season with Curtin Uni Wesley (B, BR), University (WA), Warnbro Swans (WB) and Fremantle CBC (BJC) making finals without a loss.
With five teams undefeated there were also eight teams who only lost one match during the year.
Our women’s grades will contest preliminary finals this Saturday with Curtin Uni Wesley (WA), Warnbro Swans (WB) and Piara Waters (WC) already through to their respective grand finals.
The Integrated competition go head to head in semi-finals this Saturday at Coolbinia Reserve.
Men’s A, A Reserves and Phil Scott Colts will complete their home and away seasons this weekend with their finals commencing next Saturday.
