The Perth Football League is delighted to announce the appointment of Parris Laurie as Head Coach of the CTF Women's State Team for 2022.
After a successful 7-0 start to her coaching career with Wembley's B Grade Women's side, Laurie will take charge of the Perth Football League's Women's State team when they face the WA Country Football League under lights on Friday 24 June at Inglewood Oval.
Laurie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her as the current ruck for the West Coast Eagles AFLW side and will play a key role in selecting the best talent across the League and implementing a training program over the next month.
"It means a lot to me, being able to help girls who are following a similar path to mine," Laurie said.
"Most girls are coming from other sports because footy wasn’t an option when they were younger and I love being able to provide an opportunity for them to showcase their talent in a sport they love but haven’t always been allowed to play.
"I just think it’s so exciting how much hidden talent there still is in the women’s game and I love being able to pass on what I’ve learnt and see them fall in love with the game."
