This Friday 24 June, the Perth Football League’s CTF State Women’s side will take on the WA Country Football League under lights at Inglewood Oval from 7:15pm.
This will be the second meeting between the two women’s representative sides after last year’s inaugural match that saw WA Country defeat the Perth Football League by 25 points.
Former West Coast Eagles AFLW player Parris Laurie will be at the helm of the Perth Football League women’s side and will be hoping her team can replicate the current form of her Wembley side who remain undefeated in the CTF Women’s B Grade after 9 Rounds.
"I just think it’s so exciting how much hidden talent there still is in the women’s game and I love being able to pass on what I’ve learnt and see them fall in love with the game," Laurie said during her appointment as Head Coach.
Laurie will be joined by Assistant Coach Martin Edmunds who has coached Curtin Uni Wesley's women's side to a three-peat of A Grade Premierships in the last three years.
University's Harry Beaton and Kingsley's Carly Sutton will also join Edmunds as Assistant Coaches.
The 2022 CTF Women's State Team will be captained by Lauren Bilaloski (University), with Amy Lavell (Wembley) and Matilda Bennett as vice captains. The full team can be seen below:
The game will be broadcasted live on the Perth Football League YouTube channel and will cover all the action siren-to-siren thanks to our broadcast partners Dartfish.
