This Friday 14 June, the Perth Football League State Women’s team will take on Country Football WA under lights at Gil Fraser Reserve from 6:30pm.
This will be the third meeting between the two women’s representative sides with Country WA winning the inaugural match in 2021 by 25 points and the PFL winning the following year by a narrow two-point margin.
The game is an opportunity for the squad to showcase their skills and assimilate before they take on the Victorian Amateur Football Association on Sunday 7 July at Steel Blue Oval.
2023 WAFLW premiership coach Steph Walding will be at the helm of the PFL’s Women’s side, alongside assistant coaches Stephen Markham, Carly Sutton and Tarryn Cuthbert.
