With the 2025 season only days away, let's take a look at what’s in store for the Perth Football League in the B & C Grades across Men and Women.
A new development is our Hudl Cameras, which are state-of-the-art AI cameras that will make filming games easier and more accessible. This will mean more games being viewed by the clubs upholding the integrity of the competition and improving coaching techniques.
We’ve also increased in numbers from the 2024 season, growing from 73 clubs to 75, with a slightly bigger jump in teams from 321 to a stunning 329.
Men’s Grade changes
The B Grade competition welcomes Swan Athletic football club after a stellar grand final win against Cockburn Lakes. They join Wembley and Mt Lawley, who come down from A Grade to B Grade for the 2025 season.
The C1 competition sees many teams joining the roster for the 2025 season. The C2 2024 grand finalists, Kwinana and Gosnells, both see their teams advance to C1. Ballajura and Bassendean also join the C1 competition after spending 2024 in B Grade.
Switching with Kwinana and Gosnells for this season, Carlisle and Canning Vale join the C2 competition, playing alongside Forrestdale, who, after a close grand final, managed to secure a win against North Beach, scoring themselves a spot in C2 for 2025.
After a 26 point win against Maddington, University secured the C4 grand final title, taking their team to C3 for the new season. They join Swan Valley and Willetton, who come down from C2 to join the C3 competition.
After an incredibly close grand final that saw Kenwick narrowly defeat Kelmscott in the C5 competition, both teams managed to secure themselves a spot in the C4 competition for the upcoming season. They join Noranda, who see themselves drop down to the C4 competition. Wanneroo, after a challenging season saw the team struggle to find their footing and put the team in the C5 competition with a determination to return to C4.
Women’s Grade changes
After a stellar performance in the C1 grand final, Trinity Aquinas see themselves improve to B grade. Joining them are their 2024 grand final competitors, Scarborough, who were also bumped up from C1 to B grade. These two teams will be replacing Kwinana and Ocean Ridge, who come down to C1 and plan to fight to return to their spots in the B grade.
After an incredible undefeated season, Kelmscott won the C2 grand final. After securing the win, Kelmscott see themselves bumped up to C1 for the 2025 season.
Ballajura dominated in the C3 grand final, securing their rise from C3 to C2, while Swan Valley, who claimed victory in the C4 grand final, and increased their number of players tremendously since the 2024 season moves from C4 to C2, joining Ballajura. Wanneroo and Cottesloe will also join Ballajura and Swan Valley in C2 for the 2025 season after they were bumped down from C1.
Hills Rangers get a lucky break, and after ending the 2024 season 3rd on the ladder in C4, they see themselves move up to C3, joining Mt Lawley and Coolbinia, who come down from C2 to C3.
Ellenbrook and Noranda, following a challenging 2024 season, have seen their teams relegated from C3 to C4.
Some new teams we are welcoming to the Perth Football League this season include the Kingsway Women’s Team, who are starting their first ever season in C3. Swan Valley and Hamersley Carine grow from 1 to 2 Women’s teams.
In the Men’s E grade, Warwick Greenwood introduces their first team, while in the Colts division, we welcome Hammond Park and Swan View.
