A Grade Men’s
Round 14 for the Men’s A Grade saw Scarborough and North Beach fight it out to climb up the ladder and desperately earn a spot in the finals.
Scarborough opened the match with a behind, but North Beach quickly replied with 2 of their own. Scarborough then slotted the first goal of the game and added another behind. North Beach responded with a goal, and after another behind from each side, they finished the quarter with a 2nd goal to take the lead.
North Beach extended their lead early in the 2nd quarter, kicking 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. Scarborough managed a behind, but North Beach quickly responded with one of their own and a 5th goal. Scarborough added another behind, but North Beach kept pushing, adding another goal, a behind, and finishing the 1st half with a 7th goal, leading by 36-points heading into halftime.
Scarborough opened the 2nd half with a quick behind, but North Beach continued their dominance with a goal. After a brief lull, they added another, keeping the pressure on. Scarborough managed another behind before North Beach piled on 2 more consecutive goals. Scarborough then secured their 2nd goal of the game, followed by a 3rd. North Beach closed the quarter with another behind, maintaining a strong lead.
North Beach opened the final quarter with a behind, quickly matched by Scarborough. They then pushed further ahead with another 2 consecutive goals and followed up with 2 more behinds. Scarborough found some late momentum in the final 6 minutes, adding a behind and finishing the match with a goal. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome North Beach’s dominant lead, as they sealed a commanding 87–28 victory.
Following Round 14, North Beach now sit 4th on the ladder and look like they’re close to securing a spot in the finals.

A Grade Women’s
In the Women’s A Grade Round 14, after unfortunate losses last week, Warnbro and Bullcreek Leeming fight it off for a chance at redemption.
Bullcreek came out firing, setting the tone early with 2 quick goals to open the match. Their intensity continued as they added a 3rd goal, firmly taking control of the 1st quarter. They maintained pressure, finishing the quarter with 2 consecutive behinds.
Warnbro struggled to find rhythm early, managing just a single behind in the 1st quarter. However, they began to find their rhythm in the 2nd quarter, gradually building momentum and applying more pressure. They secured 4 behinds throughout the quarter but couldn’t quite convert their opportunities into goals. Despite Warnbro’s lift, Bullcreek’s early dominance gave them enough of a buffer to hold the lead heading into the 2nd half.
Warnbro carried their momentum into the third quarter, opening with 2 back-to-back behinds. Bullcreek responded with a behind of their own, but Warnbro surged ahead, slotting 2 consecutive goals to close the gap. A final behind from Warnbro brought them within just 1 point by the end of the 3rd quarter.
The final quarter saw a drop in scoring from both sides, as pressure and fatigue set in. Warnbro broke through early with a goal to take the lead. Despite both teams fighting hard for control, neither side was able to add to the scoreboard for the remainder of the match. Warnbro’s power surge proved enough, securing a hard-fought 5-point victory against Bullcreek.
Both teams sit in the bottom 2 on the ladder, with only 2 rounds left, it’ll be a fight to see who can hold their spot in A Grade.

B Grade Men’s
The Men’s B Grade saw their matches held for the 15th Round this past weekend. One of the teams that faced off was Wembley and Baldivis.
Wembley burst out of the gates, slotting 2 quick back-to-back goals to take early control. Baldivis responded with a behind, but Wembley kept the momentum going with a 3rd goal. Baldivis added another behind and finished the quarter on a positive note with their first goal, narrowing the gap heading into the break.
Baldivis opened the 2nd quarter with a behind, quickly matched by Wembley, who then extended their lead with a 4th goal. Wembley added another behind before Baldivis responded with 2 of their own. Riding their early momentum, Wembley closed out the quarter with 2 more back-to-back behinds, taking a 17-point lead into halftime.
Wembley started the 2nd half strong, kicking 2 consecutive goals to extend their lead. Baldivis responded with their 2nd goal of the game, but Wembley quickly answered with another. Baldivis then gained momentum, closing the quarter with a strong performance, slotting 2 behinds, followed by 2 goals, and finishing with another pair of behinds. Their late push kept them in the contest heading into the final quarter.

Wembley added another behind before both teams traded goals. Baldivis then surged ahead with 2 back-to-back goals, taking the lead. Wembley fought back with a goal of their own, but Baldivis sealed the win with a final behind, holding on for a narrow 9-point victory.
Baldivis sit 2nd on the ladder, looking like the team who may make it to the finals, all they’ll need to do is hold onto the momentum they brought during Round 15.
