While the women’s finals are off to a dramatic start, the men’s B–E grades and the Colts get started, with tight ladders and relegation heartbreak ensuring plenty of intrigue heading into the first bounce.

Relegation Drama: Wanneroo find themselves relegated after finishing in the bottom two by percentage alone. Their fate was sealed when Brentwood Booragoon upset West Coast in the final round.

Tight Race: Only 13 percentage points separated 6th to 9th, with 5th place finishing just one game clear. Finals action is set to be fierce.

Wembley’s Fall: After playing A Grade in 2023, Wembley have endured back-to-back relegations and will line up in C1 in 2026 — their first time ever in C Grade.

Budget Car and Truck Rental C1 Men: Mosman Park scraped into the finals by just half a game after toppling the in-form Kwinana. Thornlie will rue a mid-season draw with Hamersley Carine that ultimately cost them.

Budget Car and Truck Rental C3 Men: Coolbinia needed to beat the side above them on the ladder to qualify — and did just that — knocking out East Fremantle in the process.

Budget Car and Truck Rental C1 Reserves: Jandakot and Kalamunda couldn’t be separated, drawing in a match that could foreshadow the Grand Final.

E1 South: Brentwood Booragoon’s win over Warnbro was enough to edge Forrestdale out of the last finals spot, despite Forrestdale getting over Curtin Uni Wesley.

New Clubs Shine: It’s been a dream debut season for the league’s newcomers, with all three advancing to finals. Warwick Greenwood secured 5th spot in E1 North, while in the EGT West Coast Colts Hammond Park triumphed in a must-win clash away at Rossmoyne, and Swan View surged to the top of the ladder.

Life Without Barriers Integrated Competition

A Division: Kingsway are through to the Grand Final after a strong showing.

B Division: Fremantle CBC advanced with last-minute heroics against North Beach, while last year’s premiers were bundled out by University.

The final round of the A Grade Men’s competition has delivered one of the tightest finishes in years.

Fight for Fifth: Ocean Ridge, Trinity Aquinas and University all sit on equal points chasing the last finals spot. Ridge face Scarborough in what shapes as a virtual elimination clash — but if Scarborough can win by enough and other results fall their way, they could leapfrog all three clubs to sneak into the five.

Top of the Table Race: Curtin Uni Wesley and Kingsway remain locked in a battle for the minor premiership. Curtin hold a slight advantage thanks to percentage, but will need to win and hope North Fremantle can upset Kingsway at Kingsway Reserve.

The results this weekend will not only settle the ladder but could have a big say in the momentum clubs carry into September.

The first weekend for PFL Women has already shown that anything can happen in finals football. With the men’s and Colts grades now stepping into the spotlight alongside the women, the stage is set for one of the most competitive finals series in years.
