Mt Lawley overcame a slow start to secure the B Reserves premiership, holding off a spirited Swan Athletic in a tough contest. The Hawks struggled to convert early dominance, managing only a string of behinds in the opening term, and it looked costly when Swan Athletic struck back with three unanswered goals in the second quarter to take control of the match.
The game turned in the third term as Mt Lawley finally found their range. Goals to Evan French, Matthew French and Mitchell Gupanis swung momentum, pushing the Hawks in front heading into the last. Swan Athletic rallied late through Liam McPherson, but Mt Lawley steadied with a crucial goal to Tom Gartside and closed out a 4.12 (36) to 4.5 (29) win, sealing a hard-fought premiership.
Budget Car and Truck Rental C1 Reserves Men – Jandakot v Kalamunda

Kalamunda held on in a nail-biting finish to claim the C1 Reserves premiership, surviving a late charge from Jandakot. The Cougars looked in control through the first three quarters, with goals from Cooper Boyd, Utah John-Furnace and Ben de Guzman giving them a strong buffer heading into the final change. Their pressure around the ball restricted Jandakot’s scoring opportunities and helped them maintain momentum for most of the afternoon.
The Jets refused to go quietly, storming home with three late goals to close the margin to under a kick. Despite their surge, time ran out as Kalamunda clung to a 8.7 (55) to 7.9 (51) victory. John-Furnace was a standout with three goals, while Boyd’s two were vital in building the early lead. The Falcons flew out of the blocks with early goals to Jack O’Reilly, Kaiden Miller and Jack Tognolini, and although Kingsley responded through Todd Lightfoot, Forrestdale looked the stronger side across the opening term. The second quarter saw momentum swing dramatically as Kingsley piled on four goals, including majors to Jesse Lloyd and Jonathon Nolan, to take a narrow half-time lead.
Forrestdale refused to fade, surging ahead in the third term with goals to Brad Higgins, Zachery Tier and Kian Scott, stretching the margin to 10 points at the final change. But Kingsley had the final say, with Isaac DeMarte kicking two clutch goals before Thomas Chamoun nailed the match-winner inside the last minute to complete a stunning turnaround. The Kingsley Reserves held on for a famous 10.5 (65) to 9.9 (63) victory, sending their supporters into raptures.

University were crowned C3 Reserves premiers, controlling the contest from the outset against Coolbinia. Early goals to Eamonn Lanagan set the tone, with the Students’ pressure around the ball denying Coolbinia time and space. Mitchell Fraser extended the lead in the second term, while Lanagan’s second ensured University took a strong buffer into half time.
Coolbinia worked back into the game in the third quarter through Nick McNeilage and Beau Harich, but University always had the reply. Greg Erskine and Sam Kennedy struck late majors to shut down any comeback hopes, sealing a convincing 8.1 (49) to 4.4 (28) victory. Lanagan was pivotal with three goals, while Fraser and Erskine provided valuable support in attack.

Curtin Uni Wesley are the Budget Car and Trick Rental C4 Reserves premiers, overcoming Mt Lawley with a strong second-half performance. The opening term was an even contest, with Storm Zitman lively early for the Hawks and Luke Van Rijn and Lachlan Murdoch finding answers for Curtin Uni Wesley. Just a goal separated the sides at quarter time before Curtin Uni Wesley began to assert themselves.
Goals to Mark Faletti and Campbell Spalding opened up breathing space in the second term, and despite Mt Lawley’s Brad Johns keeping his side in touch, Curtin Uni Wesley maintained control. From there, they never looked back, with Tim Cronin and Dominic Rawlings adding the icing in the run home to secure a 7.3 (45) to 3.6 (24) victory. It was a polished display that capped off a consistent season for Curtin Uni Wesley’s C4 reserves.
Budget Car and Truck Rental C5 Reserves Men – Baldivis v SNESA

SNESA powered to the Budget Car and Truck Rental C5 Reserves premiership, producing a commanding performance to overwhelm Baldivis. After conceding the opening goal, SNESA quickly took control through Jordan Parker and Carl Salmon, who combined for three first-quarter majors to set the tone. Salmon continued his dominance in the second term, joined by Morgan O’Rourke and Dylan Mitsopoulos, as SNESA piled on four unanswered goals to open up a 33-point half-time lead.
Baldivis fought hard after the break with goals to Graeme Cook, Lachie Brayne and Christopher Tudor trimming the margin, but SNESA’s firepower proved relentless. Mitsopoulos added three last-quarter goals while Joel Parker chimed in with two as they stormed away to a resounding 11.11 (77) to 4.6 (30) victory.
