At the end of round 2, Fremantle CBC jumped from 5th to 2nd after a 14-point win over Mount Lawley, led by Jake Austin’s 5-goal haul. Despite Mount Lawley's elite handball game and consistently winning the ball at ground level, CBC’s sustained tackling pressure, aerial dominance and repeat inside 50s proved decisive as the side leads the competition in disposal efficiency and both contested and uncontested marks.

Ryan Hudson starred with 6 goals, while Cyrus Upson and captain Troy Culloton both kicked 2 goals. University broke the game open in the third quarter, kicking 6.1 to 1.1 to establish a match-winning lead. North Beach charged late, kicking 4 goals in the fourth quarter, but University’s hard tackling helped them hold on to the lead. While North Beach controlled possession, University dominated at the source, winning clearances 50–24, as relentless forward pressure locked the ball inside 50 and forced repeat opportunities.
Kingsway delivered a commanding performance at Kingsway Reserve, overpowering Ocean Ridge by 75 points with a blend of speed, structure and relentless forward pressure. Braydn Furmark led the charge with 6 goals, supported by Blake Morris’s 4. Lachlan Vanirsen was prolific, finishing with 34 disposals and a goal, combining well with the new midfield young gun, Tyler Senge. The clash between the two early frontrunners in Hamersley Carine and Kwinana over the weekend didn’t disappoint. Hamersley Carine controlled the early stages, dominating at ground level and using their aerial strength in transition to dictate the tempo. By halftime, the Hawks held a 3-goal lead that could have been more and looked firmly in control. However, Kwinana lifted after halftime, spreading the contest and taking their chances, with Josh Elphick leading the way with 4 goals. The Knights’ ability to deny Carine clean entries and force them wide, while capitalising on their own inside 50s, proved the difference as they ran out 17-point winners.
Kwinana’s win puts them at second on the ladder, with Thornlie on top following a 78-point win over Jandakot, while Wanneroo round out the top three after a 22-point victory against Mosman Park. Wembley headline the chasing pack following a strong win over Cockburn Cobras, with Josh Richards producing the individual performance of the round in C1, kicking 6 goals. Forrestdale secured their first win of the season, with captain Ashley Grove and Noah Soper combining for 7 goals in a high-scoring 87–75 victory over Quinns Districts.
Going into round 3, Kwinana is facing another major test against ladder leaders Thornlie, while Cockburn Cobras will look to convert recent competitiveness into their first win when they host Mosman Park.
