The EGT Phil Scott Colts has reached its halfway mark with just four points separating the top four sides. Trinity Aquinas holds top spot ahead of Fremantle C.B.C., University and Curtin Uni Wesley, with Fremantle C.B.C.'s draw against seventh-placed Mt Lawley the only result preventing the reigning premiers from leading the competition.

Trinity Aquinas has built its campaign on the competition's strongest defence, conceding an average of just 30.5 points per game while remaining the only side unbeaten at home. However, away trips to University and Curtin Uni Wesley headline a challenging run home as the ladder leaders chase their first Colts premiership since 2012. Historically, finishing first has been a significant advantage, with eight of the previous 10 premiers entering finals as minor premiers, giving Trinity every incentive to hold onto top spot.

Reigning premiers Fremantle C.B.C. once again boast the league's most dangerous attack, scoring 774 points—90 more than any other side. Spearheading that firepower are the competition's two leading goalkickers, Tomas Ryan with 23 goals and Cameron Rusling with 22, helping C.B.C. remain firmly in the hunt for back-to-back flags.

After last year's Grand Final defeat, University look well placed to add to its record nine Colts premierships, with the league's second-best attack and defence, and the strongest record against fellow top-four sides. Curtin Uni Wesley sits just four points off top spot after another consistent campaign and looms as a genuine premiership threat, although it is the only current top-four side yet to defeat another top-four opponent this season and will play them in the last three games of the season.

The race for the final finals position also promises an intriguing finish. Just two points separate fifth-placed North Beach from seventh-placed Baldivis. North Beach currently occupies fifth after impressive victories over University and Fremantle C.B.C., boosting the odds of the Tigers holding their spot. Key forwards Darien Goncalves with 12 goals and teammate Austin Chester with 11 have led the charge, while Ocean Ridge remains well within striking distance with a game in hand, spearheaded by Brock Bastick and Jayden Rotham, who have each kicked 13 goals. Baldivis has also emerged as the competition’s dark horse after stunning Trinity Aquinas earlier this season, with Weston Leo sitting third in the league goalkicking with 16 majors.

EGT Drew Banfield

Swan Athletic remains one of just two teams across all EGT Colts competitions to remain unbeaten, determined to redeem last season’s grand final defeat. They have set the benchmark at both ends of the ground, conceding just 19.2 points while averaging 100 points per game, totalling up 1100 points scored so far, just under 200 points shy of their total amount for the entirety of last season. The real interest lies in who Swan Athletic will be meeting; as it stands, it will be decided by the finest margins, a win and 30% is all that separates second-place Cockburn Lakes and seventh-place Kalamunda.

Cockburn Lakes currently occupies second despite suffering heavy defeats to Swan Athletic and Collegians; with the only side other than Swan Athletic with finals experience from last season, they have recently hit their stride, winning their last 4 games, with Rhyder James leading the way on 14 goals, supported by Rhys Mercer with 11. While Whitford has quietly built momentum, going unbeaten at home, the second half of the season sees them facing all but one of the tightly matched seventh-to-second-place sides at home.

North Fremantle sits fourth but has one of the most challenging runs on the road, facing every other top side away from home except Cockburn Lakes. If they're able to hold their nerve in front of goals a bit better, they could retain their spot from a Collegians side breathing down their neck, who have been deadly at home, going unbeaten, with the second-best attack in the league.  

Kalamunda has emerged as one of the competition's surprise packets despite sitting seventh, following up on the unbeaten run that saw them capture the Ian Dargie premiership last season. The Cougars’ season has been highlighted by impressive victories over Cockburn Lakes, Melville and Collegians with the best goal accuracy in the league of 56%. Alessio Masella has been instrumental in the Cougars' rise, leading the competition's goal kicking with 25 majors, clear of second-place Melville's Marceau Richards on 17, while Melville has enjoyed strong contributions from Richards and Will Ivancich, who has kicked 11 goals from just six appearances, with consistency the only thing preventing either side from breaking into the top five.

EGT Ian Dargie

The EGT Ian Dargie Colts competition has reached its halfway mark, with Wanneroo set on bouncing back to the EGT Drew Banfield competition after producing one of the most dominant first halves to a season. The undefeated ladder leaders sit at 11-0, totalling 1295 points scored so far. If they are to keep up their remarkable average of 113 points per game, they will surpass the highest-scoring season on record, which Kingsley have held since they reached 1895 in 2012.

Behind the runaway leaders, the race for finals is being fought out by two sides, with Mosman Park having emerged beyond the rest of the pack with a 9-2 record, its only defeats coming against Wanneroo, a huge improvement on their six wins last season. Thornlie and Quinns District are locked on eight wins apiece, with Thornlie holding third courtesy of its superior percentage. Thornlie’s charge has been led by competition-leading goalkicker Cory Aitchison with 29 goals, the side as a whole showing a clinical eye with a goal accuracy of 57.1% — just 1% behind league-leading Wanneroo. Thornlie’s season is even more impressive considering they finished second from the bottom last season. Fourth-place Quinns District has consistently found ways to win close contests despite owning the lowest percentage of the current top four. A strong home record of just one loss, combined with a favourable run of games at home, could see the quiet achievers sneak into third.

The only two sides to feature in last year’s finals, Hamersley Carine and Kwinana, remain in a close battle to return on six wins each. Hamersley Carine is the frontrunner to occupy the final ticket to September footy, although a recent loss to Kwinana has provided a window of opportunity for the Knights. The Hawks rank third in points scored, with Zed Rowbotham's 17 goals, alongside Ben Carmignani and Boston Friedlieb's combined 16, proving instrumental to their season. Kwinana also possesses a lethal forward line, with Christopher Perry sitting second in the league goalkicking on 25 goals, putting in one of the performances of the season with a 9-goal haul against Cockburn Cobras in round 9. Perry isn’t without support, with Jed Ashfold kicking 19 goals along with Ky Earney at 12. The final spot will be decided by the side that can get their wins sooner rather than later, especially for Hamersley Carine, who face Mosman Park and Wanneroo in the final three games.

Wembley has shown glimpses of its potential through Jackson Ross and Hugo Montgomerie combining for 19 goals up forward, while Jandakot has produced several competitive performances despite sitting eighth.

EGT Laurie Keene

The EGT Laurie Keene Colts competition has reached its halfway mark, with Gosnells and Swan View emerging as the clear pace-setters. Gosnells leads the ladder at 9-1, going unbeaten at home and defeating fellow contenders Swan View, Kingsley, Curtin Uni Wesley and Manning. Their talisman, Marquell Spratt, has been important to their position at the top with 19 goals from 8 games. Gosnells’ only defeat came against reigning premiers Piara Waters, but they remain favourites to secure the minor premiership as they look down the barrel of some tough games, with the advantage of playing several key matches at home.

Swan View remains the biggest threat to the ladder leaders with the highest goal accuracy of nearly 60%, currently unbeaten on the road. Like Gosnells, Swan View look to the back end of the season, benefiting from a string of tough games being played at home. Swan View’s attack has been driven by the league’s two leading goalkickers, James Ford with 38 goals, and Travis Lee on 21 goals. Their superior percentage of 214.79 keeps them firmly in the race for top spot should Gosnells stumble during the run home.

Piara Waters sits third after an impressive first half, highlighted by victories over Gosnells and Kingsley, two wins that have separated them from the teams below. Their final three games against Swan View, Gosnells and Curtin Uni Wesley provide ideal finals practice. Their 2025 grand final opponent, Kingsley, occupies fourth thanks to a strong backline that has them conceding the least amount in the league, keeping them in an excellent position for the finals race. Kingsley’s Blake Sullivan and Ben Kimberley provide the necessary firepower, combining for 31 goals.

The race for the remaining finals positions is shaping into a contest between Curtin Uni Wesley and Manning, who are locked on five wins apiece, with Curtin Uni Wesley producing one of the performances of the season in its 162-point demolition of Bassendean, while Manning has remained competitive against most of the top six, looking to redeem the back-to-back finals losses last season. Hammond Park, in their second season in the PFL, has remained competitive and stays within striking distance after claiming important wins over Curtin Uni Wesley and Kingsley.

EGT Brett Jones

The EGT Brett Jones Colts competition has reached the halfway mark with three clear premiership contenders emerging. Warnbro has set the benchmark through relentless consistency, boasting the competition's best defence and attack, conceding 124 points less while scoring 96 points more than any other side. Their only defeat came in a low-scoring Round 5 thriller against fellow contender Roleystone. Their potent forward line has been spearheaded by Ben Thompson with 20 goals, Eric Smith with 18, and Aidan West with 13, giving the ladder leaders multiple dangerous scoring avenues.

Roleystone has matched Warnbro with just one loss this season. Although not as dominant statistically as Warnbro, Roleystone has consistently delivered in the biggest matches. Their narrow victory over Warnbro remains the competition's standout result, putting the pressure on Warnbro to not drop any points from here on out.

High Wycombe may be the most dangerous challenger of all, with the competition's most explosive attack outside Warnbro, scoring 766 points. Their forward powerhouse, Luke Pustkuchen, leads the league in goals, kicking 25, well supported by Jake Oliver on 18, Kye Varrone and Kayde Meikle on 14 goals. Their 38-point win over Roleystone in round 9 underscores the side’s ability to go through anyone on their day.

Scarborough currently holds fourth after winning six of its opening 10 matches, but faces a significant challenge to bridge the gap to the leading trio. Willetton and Wanneroo remain capable of causing upsets on their day, with little to separate the two sides battling for fifth; it could all come down to their rematch in the second-last round.

After dropping into the competition from the EGT Phil Scott Colts in Round 10, Kingsway may have arrived too late to challenge for finals, but they possess the quality to significantly influence the race after already defeating Willetton away from home.

EGT West Coast

The EGT West Coast Colts competition is shaping as a genuine two-horse race for the minor premiership, with percentage alone separating Yanchep and Swan Athletic at the halfway mark. A rematch of last year's Grand Final appears increasingly likely, although Mt Lawley, Safety Bay and Lynwood Ferndale remain within striking distance, ensuring the race for the coveted top-two positions remains wide open.

Yanchep sits atop the ladder courtesy of the competition's highest-scoring attack, piling on 793 points while conceding just 332. The ladder leaders remain unbeaten at home, with their only defeats coming against fellow contenders Mt Lawley and Swan Athletic. Riley Anderson has led the way with 10 goals, while Cooper Trimmer and Jet Anderson have each added five.

Swan Athletic has been equally impressive, recovering from an early defeat to Safety Bay by reeling off seven consecutive victories, including a one-point thriller over Yanchep that could prove decisive in the race for top spot. The competition's second-highest scoring side has also defeated Mt Lawley twice and avenged its earlier loss to Safety Bay in Round 11. Combined with a competition-leading goal accuracy of 57.4 per cent, Swan Athletic looks every bit a premiership threat as it chases the competition's first back-to-back premiership since Ballajura's four-year reign from 2012 to 2015.

Mt Lawley sits third after an inconsistent but dangerous first half of the season. The Hawks ended Yanchep's unbeaten home record in Round 11 and remain well placed to challenge for a top-two finish, with home clashes against both ladder leaders still to come.

Safety Bay has quietly compiled a 6-3 record with a game in hand. Victories over Swan Athletic and Mt Lawley, combined with a defensive record second only to Yanchep, have the Stingers well placed to challenge for a double-chance finals berth. Lynwood Ferndale rounds out the top five after impressive wins over Swan Athletic and Mt Lawley, while the memory of last season's one-point preliminary final loss to Swan Athletic provides extra motivation heading into the run home.

Kingsley and North Mandurah remain within striking distance after testing several of the competition's leading sides. North Mandurah appears the more likely of the two to break through, with Jaxan Bower's eight goals and Harrison Kaciuba's seven giving the Magpies genuine attacking firepower.

EGT D Colts

The inaugural D Colts competition is shaping as a battle between Fremantle C.B.C. and University, with the pair sitting well clear of the rest after identical 9-1 starts to the season. North Beach and Trinity Aquinas have also impressed, producing strong campaigns in what has been an entertaining inaugural year.

Fremantle C.B.C. sits atop the ladder by the slimmest of percentage margins, built on the competition's strongest defence after conceding just 223 points across 10 matches. The ladder leaders have beaten every side at least once, including victories over University and two wins against Trinity Aquinas, with their only blemish a 10-point loss to North Beach in Round 10. Their ability to restrict opposition scoring has been the foundation of an outstanding first half of the season.

University has matched C.B.C. win for win behind the competition's highest-scoring attack, piling on 1,019 points at an average of more than 100 per game. Outside its Round 4 defeat to C.B.C., University has won every match by at least 29 points, including four victories by more than 90. Benjamin Whiteman leads the competition's goalkicking with 14 goals, while Harry Piacentini and Nat Cornelius have combined for a further 20 to spearhead the league's most potent attack.

North Beach occupies third after proving it can challenge the competition's benchmark sides. The Tigers stunned Fremantle C.B.C. in Round 10 before pushing University to within three points a week later. Trinity Aquinas rounds out the top four, with Luke Phillipson sharing the competition lead in the goalkicking with 14 goals, while Max Barnett has added eight to give Trinity plenty of firepower heading into the second half of the season.
