Read More [+]On Monday 3 September the Crown Ballroom was filled with over 900 guests to celebrate the 2018 WA Amateur Football League season. One of the biggest attendances in recent years saw many awarded for their outstanding seasons.
Read More [+]Coolbinia and High Wycombe will face off in the Integrated Football Competition season decider for the second year in a row. High Wycombe led the competition for majority of the season losing only two matches but were over taken for the minor premiership in the last round by Kingsway. Coolbinia on the other hand finished in fourth position with five losses but managed to defeat Kingsway in the Semi Final last week to secure their spot.
Read More [+]West Coast and University will face off in the Women’s A Grade Grand Final this Saturday 1 September at Lightning Park, Noranda. West Coast finished second on the ladder at the end of the home and away season before defeating Curtin Uni Wesley in the Semi Final to advance straight through to the season decider.
Read More [+]Last Saturday saw another nine clubs finish their finals campaigns across various grades. Collegians (DBC), Coolbellup (C4), Forrestdale (E1), Kingsway (Integrated), Lynwood Ferndale (C2R), Melville (IDC), Mt Lawley (BR), Nollamara (WB) and Wanneroo (C2R, PSC) saw their only remaining teams lose in week two of the finals.
Read More [+]Qualifying and Elimination finals were held last Saturday for Men’s Grades B and below with twenty teams eliminated after the first week of finals. Mt Lawley lost the most teams in the first week with their B Grade and D1 Reserves sides unable to get the win in their Elimination Finals. The club still has their B Reserves side in the finals.
Read More [+]West Coast are the first side through to the WAAFL Women’s A Grade Grand Final after defeating Curtin Uni Wesley in Semi Final 2 on Saturday night. The match played under lights at Lightning Park, Noranda saw West Coast claim a 5.5 (35) to 1.5 (11) victory. Heading into the match Curtin Uni Wesley were undefeated so far this season with their last match against West Coast ending in a draw.
Read More [+]Scarborough have finished as minor premiers in the A Grade competition for the first time since being elevated into the grade at the end of 2015. Scarborough lost just one match this season against Fremantle CBC in Round 7 and finished two wins clear of second place. The side has finished fourth the past two seasons making the Grand Final in 2016 but were knocked out early last season losing to eventual premiers Trinity Aquinas in the Elimination Final.
Read More [+]A spot in the Grand Final is up for grabs this Saturday 18 August in both the A and B Grade Women’s finals held at Lightning Park, Noranda. Curtin Uni Wesley and West Coast will be looking to secure a Grand Final spot in the A Grade competition while Rossmoyne and Cottesloe look to be the first to make the B Grade grand final.
