Bassendean Amateur Football Club are seeking expressions of interest for coaching roles for the 2022 season, we are a community football club currently fielding 4 sides in the A, AR, Phil Scott Colts and Third’s (E2) competition.

A Reserves

Phil Scott Colts

Third’s (E2) Senior team
 

2022 sees Bassendean Amateur Football Club climb up to A grade after finishing the 2021 season as runner up and playing off in the B grade Grand Final, our reserves finished third playing off in a B grade Preliminary Final, our young Colts just finished out of the top 5 and our E2 side finished third and also played off in a Preliminary Final, overall a very successful season for our club in 2021.
 

Our most recent success in the years before this include being promoted to A grade in 2022 for the first time in our clubs fine history, a E2 premiership in 2020, a C2 premiership in 2017, playing in the C1 preliminary final in 2018 and winning the C1 premiership in 2019, our recent successes have resulted in a large playing group and significant breadth of quality players across all grades, our club has won 3 senior premierships in 6 years and a total of 6 premierships across the club in 9 years.
 

Candidates will be required to have, or working towards the following criteria –
 

  • A Grade League and Head Coach.
    • Level 2 accreditation or higher (or willing to obtain)
    • Working with children check (club can help source)
    • Experience in coaching or playing C grade level or higher.
    • Ability to lead, direct and work collaboratively with the club’s lower grades coaches regarding club values, training regimes and game day practices
    • Ability to work with all coaches on player recruitment, retention and development.
    • Demonstrate a positive and well-planned training program that will engage players.
    • Ability to continue to work with and build positive relationships with the junior football club.
    • Be driven towards success and demonstrate an ability to implement club wide structures.
    • Have good communication skills and be willing to help in the development of players across the whole club.
    • Liaise with the executive committee to ensure all game day preparations are complete with assistance from team managers.
    • Remuneration will be discussed on an individual basis.
       
  • A Grade Reserves, Thirds and Phil Scott Colts (Playing coaches will be considered for the Reserves and Thirds role)
    • Level 2 accreditation or higher (or willing to obtain)
    • Working with children check (club can help source)
    • Ability to work with all coaches on player recruitment, retention and development.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches regarding training programs and game day practices.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Be proactive regarding all aspects of the coaching role and bring support staff (runners/assistant coaches/manager)
    • Liaise with the executive committee to ensure all game day preparations are complete with assistance from team managers.
    • Remuneration will be discussed on an individual basis.
