The Swan Athletic Football Club (SAFC) is currently seeking expressions of interest for all coaching roles for the upcoming 2024 season. It is envisaged that the SAFC will field teams in the following grades -

• C1 League Men

• C1 Reserves Men

• E2 Men

• Ian Dargie Colts

• West Coast Colts

• A Grade Women

• C3 Women

The SAFC is a division of the greater Swan Athletic Sporting & Community Club Inc. which was founded in 1945 and is located on McDonald St, Herne Hill in the heart of the Swan Valley. The SAFC has a rich and proud history and currently fields seven teams in the Perth Football League.

As the Senior Club Coach (C1 League Men), you will be required to demonstrate:

• A strong ability to build positive and inclusive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including players, coaches and support staff.

• Sound leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in building a high-performance team environment, and the ability to lead and maintain a strong culture.

• Ability to lead the implementation of a whole-of-club training program and game plan.

All coaches will be required to have, or be working towards, the following experience and skills:

• Previous involvement within an amateur sporting club.

• Ability to communicate effectively with the playing group, coaching group, support team, and club committee.

• Ability to engage with club members and sponsors.

• Minimum Level 1 Senior Coaching Accreditation - Level 2 is preferred.

Existing coaches are encouraged to apply but any new applicants will be considered fully.

Successful applicants will play a key role across the club at training, game day and club events, which include weekly selections and game day presentations.

Suitability for the above positions will be further assessed and discussed by the coaching sub-committee at interview following the closing date.

Renumeration to be discussed with successful applicants based on prior coaching experience and performance.
