Des Morgan Umpires 1500th Game!

Des Morgan started his umpiring career in the SSMNFL in 1978 umpiring four Grand Finals. He then joined the Sunday Football League where he was awarded the Umpire of the Year in 1993, 1994 and 2002.  Des has umpired 648 games so far in the Perth Football League including 16 men’s grand finals. Carlisle Prostate Cancer Fundraiser

Earlier this season Carlisle Football Club held a Prostate Cancer Foundation Fundraiser Day.  The league side wore a specially designed Guernsey as well as selling raffle tickets, auction items, a cupcake stall and bouncy castle for the kids.  Thursday night's training also included a prostate cancer awareness and education session.  The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia featured a write up about in the Carlisle Football Clubs fundraiser in their national newsletter for August (Article below) Well done Carlisle Football

Bullcreek Leeming’s Pri Quackenbush plays 400th game

Last Saturday, 10th August, Pri Quackenbush played his 400thgame for the Bullcreek Leeming football club against North Beach in E1 Grade at Beasley Park in Leeming. Pri is the second player in the club’s history to reach this milestone, which is a magnificent achievement. Stirling's Michael Franceschini plays game 300

Women’s Semi Finals - Saturday 17 August

Women’s A and B Grade will commence their finals series this weekend with all Women’s grades to contest semi-finals on Saturday. University and Curtin Uni Wesley will battle it out in Semi Final 2 in A Grade with the winner to advance through to the Grand Final. High Wycombe’s Jeremy Allan plays 300 games

Jeremy “Jezza” Allan will play his 300th Game for the High Wycombe Amateur Football Club this Saturday 3 August at Scott Reserve. Jeremy is the first player in the club’s history to play 300 games. Jeremy began playing for High Wycombe in 1999 and has played across all grades. He was a premiership player with High Wycombe in F Grade in 2004. Congratulations Jeremy on your milestone.

Cobras’ Rohan Burrows reaches 350 Games

This Saturday Cockburn Cobras player Rohan Burrows will play his 350th game. Rohan started at the club in 2000 and has played in eight grand finals for four premierships. His premierships were in the Mercantile Football League in 05’, 06’ 08’ and the Perth Football League C4 Reserves in 2018. Rohan was the reserves captain in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017. He won the reserves best and fairest in 2011, 2012 and 2013 as well

Scarborough celebrate 50 year anniversary

Three All Australians for WA at AFL National Inclusion Carnival

Three players from Western Australia have been included in the 2019 Inclusion All Australian squad following the AFL National Inclusion Carnival held in Blacktown, New South Wales last week. Noel Edgar umpires 1000th game
